The Backdrop for the Drama

Just to provide a quick and dirty history of where we’ve been and where we hope to go…

Mr. B, my fabulous husband, and I met online.  Yes, online.  And he was on SALE!  Are you liking this story so far, ladies???  I was enjoying life as a single gal in my 30’s with great friends and a wonderful family but something was missing.  That’s when I decided to try online dating.  After living out way too many episodes of Sex and the City (sans all the sex), I returned my online dance card.  Then, one night when I was alone with my computer, I received an email luring me back…a membership renewal at 1/2 price.  I’m a sucker for a sale so I agreed to give it one last shot.  And that’s how it happened.  Mr. B and I joined on the same day and were matched together days later.  After sharing many emails, it was time to meet.  We met and talked for hours.  Four months later, we were engaged to be married.  Sounds crazy, huh?  I couldn’t agree more.  I’m sure you’ve all heard the mantra, “When you know, you know”.  I always believed that was a crock of sh#!  Then, I was living it.  I met the person who was meant for me in every way.  Our engagement lasted 9 months and we were married in March 2009.  That’s when I stopped the birth control pills.  We were both certain we wanted to have a family and we were eager to get started.  Since I have a Type A personality, I wanted to do things by the book.  Birth Control pills were stopped for three months and then it was showtime.  June 2009 was out first month Trying To Conceive (TTC).  After 5 cycles of Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs), charting my Basal Body Temperature (BBT) and obsessing about all things baby without success, I decided to take action.  Mr. B was off to the Urologist for a Semen Analysis…and so it begins.
